Toffees boss Marco Silva is interested in securing the services of 27-year old Senegalese talent Badou Ndiaye, according to Daily Mail. Ndiaye’s contract situation has come under the lens after the player has shown intent to continue playing in the Premier League.
Unfortunately, since Stoke City’s relegation from the PL after their last match against Arsenal on April fool’s day this year where Arsenal conceded with 3 goals against none given, the midfielder will only be able to show his moves in the EFL League. That’s if the Senegal international decides to stay with the Potters.
Ndiaye joined Stoke City in January this year from Turkish side Galatasary for a subtle £14 million move stretching over four-and-a-half year period. It is believed that Galatasary are also interested to reunite with him after Stoke’s PL situation. Daily Mail has reported that Stoke Manager Gary Rowett has tried to convince Ndiaye to stay for another season but has been unable to change the player’s mind.
The combative midfielder may not carry a big reputation but a whoscored.com player rating an average of 6.96 in 35 total appearances which include 13 PL appearances is decent enough for him to attract Marco Silva’s attention.
